Hunter X Hunter  

    Hunter X Hunter is an anime classic. On its surface, the show is about a boy named Gon who is trying to find his father. However, it's also very much about the mystery world of hunters. This world is like ours but is also set apart by its wackiness. The show has a visually and conceptually unique style that sets it apart from virtually every anime I have ever seen. The show's characters, plot, and powers are all carefully thought out and incredibly interesting, even watching the show a second time. Lastly, the show remains incredibly nostalgic to me as it was one of the first anime I ever watched. Its opening theme song (at least the melody) brings back many amazing memories.
