What I listened to this week

OGRE YOU ASSHOLE - また明日 (alternate version) This is a song I have loved for a while. I listen to it whenever I want to feel lighthearted and happy. This song reminds me of summer but I cant exactly place my finger on why. It's a great song, although I cant understand a word of the Japanese. I also recommend listening to the rest of the album, its pretty fun.

Week 4

Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku      So far from what I've seen, this show is a slice of life centered around four coworkers (Nifuji Hirotaka, Momose Narumi, Kabakura Tarou, and Koyanagi Hanako) who are otakus. The main point of the show is the awkward relationship between the newly dating Nifuji and Momose. So far it's pretty average and I don't have a whole lot to say about it. It's a show that is trying to be relatable to otakus. Sometimes it lands, but sometimes makes me cringe a little.

Week 3

Records of Ragnarok  This is my second time posting about this anime, however, my summary remains the same. Records of Ragnarok is a very straightforward anime. Basically, the gods (which include gods from a vast array of mythologies) have decided to wipe out humanity however they give humans a chance to redeem themselves through battle. The show follows a series of battles between famous gods and humans to determine the future of mankind. The show is great in the sense that you know exactly what you're gonna get. Really over-the-top fights, sometimes a little history lesson, and creative re-imaginings of familiar faces.  This week I finished the Jack the Ripper vs Hercules fight. Jack the Ripper was pretty well done and had an interesting back story. Hercules was strange because they changed his backstory from his traditional greek legend to something that was much more anime-like. the fight itself was pretty good and had a surprising ending.
