 Records of Ragnarok       Records of Ragnarok is a very straightforward anime. Basically, the gods (which include gods from a vast array of mythologies) have decided to wipe out humanity however they give humans a chance to redeem themselves through battle. The show follows a series of battles between famous gods and humans to determine the future of mankind. The show is great in the sense that you know exactly what you're gonna get. Really over-the-top fights, sometimes a little history lesson, and creative re-imaginings of familiar faces. 

 Vinland Saga       Vinland Saga is a historical anime about Vikings, at least season one was. Season two seems to be taking place in Vinland which I'm pretty sure is North America. So far the direction of the plot of season two has yet to be revealed but seems to revolve around a farm in Vineland and two of its indentured slaves. These slaves must wrestle with the horrible tragedies or self-destruction that brought them there while also enduring the conditions of servitude. So far season two of the anime has been pretty slow and I can't say many good things about it. However, season one was great and the manga is supposed to be great so I'm holding out hope that it will get better.
